NEWS FROM PRESBYTERY
Presbyteries of Edinburgh & West Lothian and Lothian & Borders:
Worship Training, Level 3: “The Gospels and Acts”
The latest joint worship training course for our Presbyteries is set for October-November 2025. The course aims to offer participants an opportunity to grasp the purposes, key themes and characteristics of the four gospels plus The Acts of the Apostles.
The course meetings (7.30-9.00pm via Zoom) will take place on:
Wednesday 22nd October: Mark
Wednesday 29th October: Luke
Wednesday 5th November: Matthew
Wednesday 12th November: The Acts of the Apostles
Wednesday 19th November: John
The course, which will neither be assessed nor accredited, comes with an open invitation to elders and members. It is hoped that previous Worship Training Course attendees might find the webinars helpful in developing their biblical understanding and enhancing their preaching potential. Beyond this group, others may feel drawn to sign up simply out of interest.
All are welcome!
Led by a team comprising Church of Scotland ministers and elders, each meeting will involve an introductory talk followed by small group discussion – nothing scary!
To register elders or members of your congregation(s), simply get in touch with Robin at the e-mail address below, giving a name, congregation and e-mail address for each participant.
( RHill@churchofscotland.org.uk )
Please submit your nominations as soon as possible, and certainly by Wednesday 8th October.
We look forward to welcoming old friends and new to these informal and enjoyable evenings of insight, discovery and chat.
With very best wishes.
Yours,
Robin and Bill
